ABOUT THE NONPROFIT: The little one with the bunny on our logo is “Goose”, whom is the Founder JulieAnn’s youngest daughter. The two of them escaped Domestic Violence in 2014. They left their home after JulieAnn was bruised up by her husband. The Police were called three times. JulieAnn was exhausted, and with no family left, her and Goose found shelter in a restaurant and stayed inside a vacant building. The DA ordered a kick out order based on her black and blue marks. JulieAnn and her daughters were able to return home. JulieAnn’s soon to be ex started to stalk them. He traced her phone and she had to get law enforcement to step in repeatedly. JulieAnn had to let her Newspaper business go, as Mr. Cleaveland was stalking all the advertisers and there was no help for her. He followed her on social media. Which he got convicted of breaking the restraining order receptively. He would show up at friends and business partners homes: resulting to the loss of income for JulieAnn in the business that she built.

JulieAnn Founded Building Up Lives Foundation because she doesn’t want anyone else to go through what she has. The LACK of help in Domestic Violence cases is huge. JulieAnn saw the holes in the system designed to protect and is on a mission to fill them in so no one else has to suffer needlessly.
